Australian Drivers can now enjoy the convenience of on-demand traffic information for their immediate location.
The 197drive SMS Service is the first in Australia to provide national automatic updates on all types of traffic incidents, anytime a mobile phone user texts their details in the format ‘SUBURB, STATE’ to 197 37483 (197drive).
197DRIVE can provide details of planned traffic events, such as roadworks and community events such as marathons and street fairs 24 hours, 7 days per week. Details of LIVE events such as accidents and weather-affected traffic congestion is available Monday to Friday, 6:30am to 7:30pm and Saturday to Sunday 8:00am to 8:00pm.
